Position: Power Electronics Process Quality Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton, UK (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term B2B Contract
Experience Required: 3 to 8 years in Process Quality/Line Quality
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for in-depth understanding of BMS functionalities, including cell voltage monitoring/balancing, current measurement/management, temperature monitoring/control, and communication protocols (CAN bus, etc.).
- Responsible for verification of documents like DFMEA, PFD, PFMEA, Control plan, check sheet, SOP and SPC study including test plans, reports and system specifications.
- Working knowledge about Battery Assembly Process and its integration.
- Responsible for In process audit of BEM assembly.
- Responsible for BMS testing and final go for next assembly process for Battery Pack.
- Responsible for Line process Quality Audit reports and countermeasures for each defect.
- Responsible for defects No go for next process from BEM to Pack level.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
- Extensive experience in Quality testing of Battery Module & Battery Pack.
- Knowledge and work experience about Battery Manufacturing processes like laser welding, tightening, traceability and BEM level electrical testing, Pack level battery testing.
- Working knowledge about validation & testing processes like Tightening, BMS, Battery pack etc.
- Knowledge about Poka yoke, 7QC Tools, 8D Analysis, Why-Why Analysis, Six Sigma etc.
- Knowledge about Test Parameters checking of BMS.
- Knowledge about process audit of Battery Electrical Module.
- Working knowledge on BMS, MCU and Battery Modules and Battery Pack level.
- Good working knowledge about NPD, Process Audit & QMS.
- Ability to provide solutions to Installation, integration and line prove out problems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, E&TC, Mechatronics, Mechanical
