Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate control systems for power converters.
- Evaluate system-level requirements and define control specifications.
- Analyse and model converter topologies for solar, battery, and grid-connected systems.
- Develop small-signal models and control algorithms for dynamic systems.
- Discretize control loops for embedded platforms (MCUs and DSPs).
- Perform DFMEA and support reliability and compliance testing (EN50549, VDE-AR-N 4105, CEI 0-21, G98/99).
- Use hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) setups for design verification.
- Collaborate with hardware teams in design reviews and bring-up.
- Contribute to end-of-line (EOL) testing and test plan development.
- Proven experience in control system design for power electronics.
- Strong understanding of converter topologies and power system dynamics.
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analysers, power supplies, etc.).
- Experience with C programming and embedded control implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
Nice to Have
- Background in grid-connected power systems.
- Knowledge of international grid codes and compliance standards.
- Experience in embedded system debugging and testing.
- Prior work on solar MPPT, battery management, or grid-tied inverters.
- Exposure to high-volume production and EOL automation.
