Job Description:

Element has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Power BI Developer. You will need to have strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of finance processes, and a passion for turning complex data into clear insights using Power BI.

This role is responsible for working within the Enterprise Integration and Reporting team, alongside the Finance team and other business areas. The purpose is to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting through Power BI, predominantly using Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet finance business needs.
• Work with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations.
• Connect to, transform, and model data from D365 Finance and Operations and other relevant systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs.
• Assist in the governance and documentation of BI solutions, including data dictionaries and report inventories.
• Support the rollout of new Power BI capabilities and train users where necessary.
• Collaborate with IT Systems and Finance teams on data improvement initiatives and performance optimization.

Skills / Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Needed to Fulfil the Role:

• Solid understanding of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, particularly its finance modules and data structures.
• Strong grasp of financial principles, terminology, and common reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or similar tools (desirable but not essential).

Experience Needed to Fulfil the Role:

• Multiple years’ experience delivering Power BI solutions with hands-on experience working with D365 Finance and Operations data sources.
• Track record of delivering impactful and user-friendly reports to non-technical audiences.
