Job summary

Saltus is seeking a BI Analyst to build and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards that turn data into clear, actionable insight for the business.

This hands-on role with real visibility involves data modelling, DAX calculations, Power Query shaping, and writing SQL to support reliable, scalable reporting. The role operates with hybrid working in Whiteley, UK, and offers a salary between £45,000 and £60,000 with generous benefits.

Qualifications

3+ years building and publishing Power BI reports used daily by a business.
Experience designing semantic models and performance-focused data solutions.
Strong capability with DAX time intelligence, filter context, variables and iterators.
Hands-on Power BI Service administration: workspaces, deployment pipelines, refresh, gateways and security.
Familiar with version control and a structured release/UAT process.
Experience in financial services, wealth management or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Develop, publish and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for business insight.
Work from requirements, validate with the BA, and ensure deliverables are complete.
Build calculations and semantic models using DAX; shape data with M/Power Query.
Write SQL to source and validate data behind reports.
Set up deployment pipelines and manage Power BI Service workspaces and refresh.
Test thoroughly, perform peer reviews and support UAT before release.
Document report logic, calculations and automation for ongoing support.
Identify data gaps, duplicates, and anomalies, and raise issues with the business.
Optimize reports for performance and data integrity; spot trends for business actions.
