Powder Coating Production Manager

Oldham

£35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to join their team during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You will oversee manufacturing operations within the Paint and Spray department, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Managing a team of skilled production staff, you will collaborate with senior management to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead daily stand-up meetings to address issues, capturing data on performance against KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
  2. Plan and schedule production to meet client deadlines.
  3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, including fire safety requirements.
  4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
  5. Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve issues and maintain product excellence.
  6. Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement alongside supply chain teams.
  7. Maintain reports on production metrics for transparency and communication with leadership.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Compliance with statutory and organisational safety regulations.
  2. Participation in hazard and risk assessments.
  3. Monitoring and reporting on visual management systems; managing corrective actions.
  4. Development of standard operating procedures.
  5. Application of continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
  6. Project delivery and task management within the team.
  7. Mentoring team members to ensure accountability and best practices.
  8. Ensuring timely and complete delivery of goods to customers.

Qualifications:

  • IOSH certification (essential)
