Job summary

Kinetic plc in St Helens is seeking a Permanent Powder Coating / Paint Plant Operative to join the production team. You will prepare, powder coat and inspect components on a manufacturing paint line, following technical drawings and job tickets to ensure quality and timely production.

The role suits someone with powder coating or paint line experience, good attention to detail, and a reliable, team-oriented approach. Flexible, stable hours and a permanent position offered at the St Helens site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in powder coating, paint spraying or a manufacturing paint plant environment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and job tickets.
• Experience preparing and masking components for painting.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Powder coat components using handheld guns.
• Operate automatic paint line following set procedures.
• Prepare, mask and hang components for painting.
• Read technical drawings and job tickets to ensure specifications are met.
• Position components using hooks and jigs for coating.
• Load/unload components from the paint line.
• Inspect finished products for quality, coverage and defects.
• Record and report quality issues as required.
• Handle and store materials safely.
• Move components safely around the paint plant.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow Health & Safety and production procedures.
