About the role

The PGTA will support teaching and learning in our modules, working with the academic module leads through the delivery of small group teaching for students in the Department of CCM.

Main duties include tutorial class teaching, meetings with course lecturers, providing feedback to students, holding weekly office hours, attendance reporting, coursework assessment, and examination marking. Training will be provided to support these roles.

In this post, you will:

  • Support module leads on our BA programme.
  • Design and prepare teaching materials within the module framework.
  • Assist with marking duties on allocated modules.
  • Support the module lead in weekly seminars and Moodle resource management.

About you

You should be working towards a PhD in a social sciences subject. Please note, eligibility ends upon PhD completion.

You should have excellent communication skills, especially oral communication, and enthusiasm for teaching.
