Job summary

University of Oxford's Jones Lab in the Department of Biochemistry invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to study molecular mechanisms of transcription–replication conflicts. You will lead independent research, design and perform biochemical and structural biology experiments, and analyse complex datasets in a world-class environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD/DPhil in a related discipline (or nearing completion).
  • Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification.
  • Strong background in biochemistry or structural biology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead independent research on transcription–replication conflicts.
  • Design and perform biochemical and structural biology experiments.
  • Analyse complex datasets and contribute to high-impact publications.
  • Collaborate with researchers across the department and support postgraduate students.
  • Contribute to future research funding applications.
