A leading research institute in Cambridge is seeking up to three Postdoctoral Scientists to develop methods for synthesizing large genomes, including the human genome. This three-year position is suitable for recent PhD graduates in biological sciences with relevant experience. The successful candidates will work in a collaborative environment with excellent facilities and opportunities for training and development.

MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK
We are looking to recruit up to three Postdoctoral Researchers to join a multi-centre collaborative project, SynHG, funded by the Wellcome Trust. The work will be located at LMB and supervised by Dr. Julian Sale with Dr. Jason Chin at the University of Oxford. You will work on developing and applying foundational methods for the synthesis of large genomes, specifically the human genome. You should have a PhD in a relevant biological science, or be due to complete your PhD within six months, and experience in genetic manipulation of bacteria and / or mammalian cells. This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.
