University of Reading invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the LESS MALNUTRITION project within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development. You will lead WP5 on economic and innovation spill-over effects of using local ingredients in RUTF production and work with Africa/Europe partners.

You will map markets and conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses, write articles, and present findings to diverse audiences.

Competenze

PhD (or near PhD) in agricultural or food economics or related social science.
Ability to carry out high-quality quantitative analysis using statistical software (Stata, R, Python).
Ability to design and conduct qualitative research including semi-structured interviews.

Mansioni

Lead WP5 on economic and innovation spill-over effects of local ingredients in RUTF production.
Map producers, consumers, markets and trade for candidate ingredients (e.g., chickpea, soybean).
Analyze household survey, price and agricultural data for effects on production, prices and food security.
Conduct interviews and case studies with experts, entrepreneurs and RUTF manufacturers.
Write journal articles, policy briefs and reports and present findings to academic and policy audiences.
