Job summary

The University of Liverpool invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a major NIHR-funded programme examining how food environment policies can reduce health inequalities. You will develop and run microsimulation models (IMPACT-NCD and PRIMEtime) to estimate health and economic impacts with equity at the core.

Based in the NCD Prevention and Food Policy Group, this full-time, fixed-term post offers hybrid working from Liverpool campus, with opportunities to collaborate

Qualifications

• PhD in public health, epidemiology, data science, economics required.
• Experience in epidemiological analysis and statistical programming (R) essential.
• Knowledge of epidemiological simulation or health economic modelling desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run microsimulation models (IMPACT-NCD and PRIMEtime) to estimate health and economic impacts of food environment policies.
• Collaborate with partners at LSHTM, Oxford and City St George's on modelling and dissemination of findings.
• Contribute to policy-relevant evidence for NIHR-funded programme and health inequalities research.
• Embed in the NCD Prevention and Food Policy Group and access cross-disciplinary expertise.
