We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the laboratory of Professor Christian Siebold at the University of Oxford. You will contribute to the BBSRC-funded Strategic Longer and Larger (sLoLa) research programme entitled “An integrated analysis of S-acylation dynamics and its importance in cell physiology.” This multidisciplinary project is led by the University of Strathclyde and involves leading institutions across the UK. Responsibilities include experimental design, data interpretation, dissemination of results through publications and presentations, and contributing to research reports and funding proposals. The ideal candidate holds a PhD/DPhil in chemistry, biology, or a related field, with experience in structural biology of membrane proteins using cryo-EM, including data collection, processing, and structure solution. Experience in mammalian cell culture expression and production of membrane proteins is desirable. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate nationally and internationally.
