The Opportunity:
Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions in mathematical physics within the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh. The posts are available from 1st September 2025, for 36 and 24 months respectively; both are fixed-term, full-time contracts. These positions are supported by ERC/UKRI Consolidator and Royal Society grants held by Tim Adamo.
The Mathematical Physics group at the University of Edinburgh includes: Tim Adamo, Sayantani Bhattacharyya, Tudor Dimofte, José Figueroa-O’Farrill, Jelle Hartong, James Lucietti, Bernd Schroers, and Joan Simon, along with eight postdoctoral researchers and multiple PhD students. Successful candidates will be encouraged to develop their own research approaches and will have access to substantial travel and research budgets.

These posts are full-time (35 hours/week), but part-time or flexible working arrangements are considered. Hybrid working (remote and on-campus) requests are also welcome on a non-contractual basis.
