We are seeking an experienced and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to work on Professors Sen and Sofat’s MRC-funded project as part of the CAPE (Consortium Against Pain in Equality) initiative.

Professor Sofat leads a multidisciplinary team of clinical, data, and discovery scientists within the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Liverpool University. Professor Sen is based at UCLH and has established a cohort of children and young people with rheumatic diseases, including inflammatory arthritis, from which study subjects have been recruited. A clinical database and biological samples are maintained for this cohort.

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months at Band 6.

Main duties of the job

The primary goal of this one-year post is to integrate and manage the data collected from the cohort to date. The role involves working closely with a Trusted Research Environment Provider to transfer the data, link it to other study-level data, and eventually connect it to routine NHS data. Additionally, the postholder will analyze the data collected so far, as well as emerging data from various measures, applying standard statistical techniques and advanced analytics across multi-modal data sources, including multi-omics, imaging, and wearables.
