The University of Glasgow invites applications for a Post Doctoral Research Associate to contribute to the UKRI-funded Land Use for Net Zero project RESPECT in Glasgow. You will join a team working on the Peatland Triage Tool, machine learning, geospatial and AI capabilities under senior supervision.

The role emphasises independent research, publication and collaboration with Stirling partners, with a clear path to building a strong research profile and international visibility.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with research development.
• Up-to-date knowledge in CS or Environmental Science.
• Proven ability to deliver outputs on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and conduct of research tasks.
• Develop the Peatland Triage Tool and related ML/geospatial components.
• Communicate with UK partners and stakeholders.
• Publish findings in high-quality journals/conferences.
