Job summary
The University of Sussex in Brighton invites applications for a 12-month full-time postdoctoral position in Experimental Quantum Technology under the EPSRC Quantum Technology Hub. You will join Prof Matthias Keller's team to test and characterise an ion trap with a cavity-based ion-photon interface,
Qualifications
- PhD in experimental quantum information, laser- or atomic physics.
- Hands-on experience with complex optical systems and vacuum hardware.
- Ability to demonstrate experimental independence and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Test and characterise the ion trap system and ion-photon interface.
- Explore schemes for ion-photon entanglement and benchmarking.
- Contribute to developing a distributed quantum network.
