Job summary

The University of Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join our child neurodevelopment programme. The role is part-time (0.7FTE) and fixed-term until October 2028, supporting C-GULL and HBHF, with a 0.25FTE allocation to the FEVER II study.

You will work under Professor Melissa Gladstone to manage behavioural assessment quality, develop manuals/SOPs, train assessors, and contribute to future follow-up designs.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or near completion) in psychology, neuroscience, developmental science, medicine or related field.
  • Experience with standardised neurodevelopmental or behavioural assessments in infants/young children.
  • Experience with longitudinal or cohort research, data analysis and proposal development.
  • Willingness to undertake Good Clinical Practice certification.

Responsibilities

  • Quality assurance of neurodevelopmental assessments and data collection.
  • Develop assessment manuals and standard operating procedures; train and calibrate assessors.
  • Contribute to the design of behavioural and developmental assessments for follow-up.
  • Analyze C-GULL data; contribute to publications and develop new research/funding proposals.
  • Provide support for FEVER II: translation, piloting, staff training, QA and harmonisation of assessment approaches.
