Qualifications

• PhD in earth, physical, chemical or biological sciences with expertise in mineral precipitation, trace element/isotope geochemistry or electron microscopy.
• Experience with ACC/CaCO3 systems is desirable.
• Candidates nearing completion of their PhD will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify conditions under which amorphous calcium carbonates form in marine calcifiers.
• Determine how ACC precursor formation influences palaeoproxy chemistry of calcite and aragonite.
• Collaborate with Dr Nicola Allison and contribute to data collection, analysis and interpretation.
