Royal Mail in Castleford is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our Whitwood Delivery Office team. You will be delivering letters and parcels in your local area, walking and driving in all weathers, with a structured 30-hour week and fixed-term contract of 6 months.

You'll be active, rely on strong organisational skills, and build relationships with customers while working independently to meet delivery targets.

Qualificações

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Job type: Fixed Term (contract 6 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Saturday – 14:00-20:00 and Sunday 12:30-18:30*
