Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Driver to support Royal Mail in Chester. This temporary role involves outdoor work delivering letters and parcels, using a handheld device for signatures and route navigation, and starting from the local delivery office.

You will walk up to 8 miles per day and lift bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, with shifts 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday plus weekend availability. A full UK manual licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence, 6 points max; license held 6 months+.
• Excellent time management and customer service.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Hours: 30 to 40 Hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekend availability required

Shift Times: Between: 8am - 8pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle - walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

Requirements:

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
