Job Description:

Description: The Application Support team provides comprehensive support for all applications to the trading business, ensuring best practices in system support, upgrades, testing, and procedures. The team has a broad range of technical skills and is dynamic yet disciplined. As the primary interface between the business and IT, understanding the business context of trading applications is crucial.

Position purpose: To support in-house and vendor applications in Treasury, Risk, and Finance, including Post-Trade Operations such as Treasury, Credit, Risk, Product Control, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Confirmations and Settlements.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and resolve live system incidents across various systems.
  2. Record and monitor incidents and service requests, providing feedback to stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate on system enhancements.
  4. Manage change control processes.
  5. Coordinate with support/development teams for cross-system issues.
  6. Monitor application performance and availability.
  7. Share knowledge and support team members.

Experience required:

  1. Systems analysis skills in energy, commodities, or trading environments.
  2. Incident and request management skills.
  3. Understanding of trade lifecycle and related processes.
  4. Experience with trading service delivery.
  5. Communication with vendors and stakeholders.
  6. Experience with trading and risk management systems.

Technical requirements:

  1. Experience diagnosing issues in Windows Server and Azure Kubernetes.
  2. Skills in SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  3. Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) advantageous.
  4. Knowledge of ITIL; Foundation certification within 6 months if not already obtained.
  5. Experience with applications like ION/FIS, CubeLogic, Workday is desirable.
  6. Azure App Insights experience is a plus.
