Job summary

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Post-Production Lead to join our Post-Production team in London.

This is a casual, zero-hours based role, with work typically booked in defined periods depending on project requirements. Bookings may range from a few weeks to several months and, during active bookings, may involve working up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Working closely with the Post-Production Manager and Head of Post-Production, you will help support the successful delivery of high-quality audio post-production services across a range of projects.

The role combines hands-on post-production expertise with technical guidance, quality oversight, mentoring and day-to-day project support. You will act as a senior technical point of support within the team, helping colleagues resolve complex challenges, maintain quality standards and continue developing their skills and confidence.

You will also conduct regular development-focused 1:1s with allocated team members, providing an approachable environment in which they can discuss development, workload, project experience and any support they may need.

This is not a formal people-management position. Formal performance, conduct, wellbeing, absence and employee-relations matters remain the responsibility of the Post-Production Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

Technical & Quality Support

• Act as a senior technical point of support for the Post-Production team.
• Provide guidance on complex dialogue editing, audio QA, mastering and technical challenges.
• Carry out quality reviews and spot-checks to support consistent delivery standards.
• Help colleagues understand and apply client technical specifications and internal quality standards.
• Share technical knowledge, best practice and lessons learned across the team.
• Identify recurring technical or quality issues and raise these with the Post-Production Manager.
• Support the development and improvement of technical workflows, documentation and working practices.
• Maintain hands‑on involvement in post‑production activity where required.

Mentoring & Team Development

• Mentor and support team members in developing their technical skills, knowledge and confidence.
• Conduct regular development and support-focused 1:1s with allocated team members.
• Provide constructive feedback based on project work and quality reviews.
• Support the onboarding and technical training of new team members.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across the Post-Production team.
• Identify potential development or training needs and discuss these with the Post-Production Manager.
• Act as an approachable first point of support where team members require guidance.
• Escalate formal performance, conduct, wellbeing, absence or employee-relations concerns to the Post-Production Manager.

Project & Operational Support

• Support the Post-Production Manager with the day-to-day coordination of post- production activity.
• Help communicate project priorities and deadlines to the team.
• Support colleagues in resolving project or technical challenges.
• Identify potential delivery risks, bottlenecks or quality concerns and elevate these appropriately.
• Facilitate project or technical meetings when required.
• Support project documentation, archiving and other agreed operational activities.
• Work collaboratively with Production and other teams to support effective project delivery.
• Provide additional support during periods of increased workload or complex delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Support

• Provide technical input into client and stakeholder discussions when required.
• Support Production and the Post-Production Manager in understanding and resolving technical requirements.
• Help ensure client feedback is understood and incorporated into future work.
• Escalate significant client, quality or delivery concerns to the Post-Production Manager.
• Represent the Post-Production team professionally in project discussions.

What We’re Looking For

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of audio post-production workflows within a commercial production or services environment.
• Excellent knowledge of dialogue editing, audio QA and mastering standards, including the technical requirements associated with client deliverables.
• Strong working knowledge of digital audio workstations and post-production tools, including Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Reaper and iZotope RX.
• Good understanding of video game localisation and multilingual dialogue workflows, particularly across high-volume projects.
• Understanding of post-production pipelines, including asset management, version control, file management, archiving and delivery processes.
• Good understanding of quality‑control processes and how to identify and resolve recurring technical or delivery issues.

Experience

• 4+ years’ experience within a commercial audio post-production environment, ideally within video games, localisation, voice production or another relevant creative-services environment.
• Demonstrable hands‑on experience delivering dialogue editing, QA and/or mastering to professional client standards.
• Experience working across multiple concurrent projects, preferably involving high-volume or multilingual content.
• Previous experience acting as a senior or experienced member of a technical team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or training colleagues and supporting their professional or technical development.
• Experience identifying technical or quality issues and supporting their resolution or escalation.Previous experience within video game localisation, dialogue production or an outsourced games‑services environment would be highly desirable.
