Job summary

OCS is seeking a night shift team leader to supervise a production team, ensuring targets, quality and safety are met across five shifts per week. The role requires coordinating staff and resources to accommodate changing production needs and maintain smooth operations.

You will report to management, uphold safety standards, and mentor team members to develop skills and competencies in a fast-paced facilities environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a team leader or supervisor is essential.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills; able to use email, Office apps and company systems.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the team to meet production targets and client requirements.
• Allocate staff and resources across the shift to respond to production changes.
• Monitor production performance and quality to minimise downtime and errors.
• Ensure health, safety and company procedures are followed, including PPE and risk assessments.
• Provide clear shift handovers and liaise with managers and other departments.

About The Company:

• Lead and supervise the team to ensure production targets, deadlines and client requirements are consistently achieved.
• Allocate staff and resources effectively across the shift, responding to changing production requirements and staffing levels
• Monitor production performance and quality, identifying issues and taking prompt action to minimise downtime, waste and errors.
• Ensure all health, safety and company procedures are followed, including PPE, risk assessments, safe working practices and reporting of incidents.
• Communicate effectively with managers and other departments, providing clear shift handovers, escalating issues and supporting smooth production flow..
• Support and develop team members through coaching, training, performance feedback and maintaining required skills and competency levels.

Essential Hiring Criteria (Qualifications, Experience & Skills Etc)

• Full right to work in the UK
• Full training will be given for the role however team leader/supervisor experiences essential
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, with the ability to use email, Microsoft Office applications and company systems to complete production records, reports, timesheets and other operational documentation.
