Job description

Location: Broughton Post Office
Position: Post Office Counter Clerk
Hours: 20 hours per week (permanent contract)
Salary: Pay: National Minimum Wage (based on age)
Start Date: As soon as possible
DBS Check Required: Yes (Basic Disclosure)

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Post Office Clerk to join our friendly team at the Broughton branch. As a Post Office Clerk, you will be the face of our service, helping customers with a range of postal and financial services in a professional and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve customers with mail services, banking, bill payments, and other Post Office products

- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely

- Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries effectively

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and promotions

- Assist with stock control, merchandising, and general branch duties

Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or a customer service role preferred

- Strong communication and numeracy skills

- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

- Basic IT skills

- Must be willing to undergo a Basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
