Job description

Job Title: Post Office Clerk

Location: Scunthorpe

Work Type: Temp ongoing (Bank work)

Pay Rate: £11.44 p/h

On behalf of The Arc in Westcliffe, Scunthorpe, we are seeking an experienced Post Office Clerk to cover holidays and sicknesses as and when required. The successful candidate will contribute towards the continual development and maintenance of a professional branch and will provide excellent customer service including sales advice and also promotion of post office products and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Sort and distribute post accurately and in a timely manner
• Sell stamps, franking services, and other postal services
• Keep accurate records of all transactions
• Assist customers with any queries they may have
• Ensure the Post Office counter is kept tidy and organised
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations


Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a customer service role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work accurately and quickly
• Knowledge of the Post Office services and products
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
