You will be making a leading contribution to the EU Horizon project “ACMod: Affective computing model from facial expression to mind-reading.” This project includes seven Universities and three industrial partners. You will work with Dr Hongchuan Yu (PI, Bournemouth University) focusing on mental health.
The overall aim of the project “ACMod” is to advance the understanding and modelling of naturalistic facial behaviours in social interaction. The Bournemouth University team focuses on applications in improving mental health services and collaborates with industry partners for future technology commercialization.
We seek applicants at an international level of excellence. The National Centre for Computer Animation (BU) has an international reputation in computer graphics and animation. It has strong links with prominent UK and global animation organizations and award-winning professionals. You will be part of this research centre, with opportunities to exchange research and develop industry networks.
To be considered, you must perform duties typical of a PDRA position with independence, leadership, and responsibility, including planning, funding, collaborating, publishing research, and mentoring students.
This is a two-year fixed-term appointment funded by the EU Horizon project “ACMod,” with potential renewal based on project progression.
