Job summary

Post Doctoral Research Assistant

£32,080 rising to £34,610 (pro rata)

Part Time, Fixed Term - Research

The role:

The SAVE Sport Project relates directly to WADA's level 3 (i.e., 'role and influence of athlete support personnel') and level 2 (i.e., 'clean sport behaviours') social science research grant priorities by examining the roles and influence that parents have on personal integrity and clean sport behaviours at each stage of the athlete pathway.

We are looking for a part time (0.2fte) PDRA to carry out qualitative data analysis and manuscript preparation relating to the SAVE Sport Project. This is a fixed term role for 12 months and the successful candidate must be available to start immediately due to the funding start date.

Please note that this role will not attract sufficient points for skilled worker sponsorship.

You will be:
  • Conducting literature searches and reviews
  • Assisting with the preparation of papers for publication and make presentations at meetings and/or conferences
  • Responsible for qualitative data analysis and interpretation.
You should have:
  • Postgraduate or Postdoctoral qualification or studying for PhD
  • Experience of qualitative data collection
  • Experience of qualitative data analysis e.g., Reflexive Thematic Analysis
  • Experience of writing up and disseminating research findings.
