Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a post CCT fellow to work in one of the country’s busiest EDs, serving Leicester and surrounding counties. You will be a senior decision-maker within the ED, providing support to the medical team and leading in clinical safety and efficient decision-making.

Qualifications

• 3 years of higher Emergency Medicine training or equivalent.
• Demonstrable communication skills in English.
• Experience in department leadership and medical education.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior decision-maker in the Emergency Department (ST6 level), supporting the medical team.
• Lead clinical safety and ensure efficient decision-making in the department.
• Participate in patient safety investigations, complaints and case reviews.
• Contribute to formal education programmes within the department.
• Identify and lead a service improvement project benefiting department priorities.
• Attend departmental meetings with Consultants.
