Are you passionate about empowering young people to develop independence and life skills for a brighter future? Do you want to inspire and support students as they transition into adulthood?

Long-term Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic Post-16 Learning Mentor to work with students who have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference by guiding students in real-world settings and helping them achieve their goals.

Your responsibilities:
  • Support students in developing essential practical life skills tailored to their needs
  • Deliver engaging, accredited learning programmes based on personalised curriculums
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and foster students’ confidence and independence
  • Travel with students to community-based locations (e.g., libraries, workplaces, leisure centres) to provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated individual with:

  • Experience: Previous work with young people in the UK (essential)
  • SEN knowledge: Experience working with special educational needs is highly desirable
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and travel between learning locations
  • Communication Skills: Ability to connect with and inspire students
  • Transport: A valid driver’s license, access to your own vehicle, and business insurance

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, during term time only (9am - 4:30pm).
