The Role
The 16-18 Transition & Employment Mentor role will work closely with SEND & SEMH learners aged 16 and above within schools and the college to help them overcome barriers to employment and achieve their vocational goals. This role involves assessment, guidance, and advocacy to ensure that each student reaches their maximum potential.
The role will also provide training and workshops to learners and their support networks to enhance understanding and coping skills. In addition, the role will be required to provide training for other stakeholders (employers and other organisations) to raise awareness and ensure they understand the needs of our young people.
The postholder will provide a link for our LSEAT pupils between the School and the College working with students on attendance, achievement and wellbeing. The postholder will be required to be flexible on location and willing to work within local schools and colleges.
