A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a dedicated individual to support people with learning disabilities and challenging behavior. This role involves providing personalized support, facilitating access to information, and assisting in the delivery of training. The ideal candidate will help individuals and their families navigate barriers to achieving their goals in a supportive community setting.
PPT provide evidence based long-term intervention that supports the development and maintenance of capable environments that reduce the risk of placement breakdown/admission to hospital and enhance the quality of life of service users with complex and challenging needs.
Promoting a Positive Behavioural Support approach PPT provide competency-based training and skills development in; Understanding and Responding to Autism (SPELL Framework), Person Centred Active Support and Understanding and Responding to Behaviours that Challenge.
Established in 2019 the team works with service users, their families and community-based support networks including social workers and CLDHT colleagues across Buckinghamshire. Taking internal referrals from clinicians within the Bucks Community Learning Disability Team, PPT are an integral part of the Bucks pathway supporting people who exhibit behaviour that challenges.
