Job Description:

Voyage Care is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. Our PBS Practitioners are central to our delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

We’re currently searching for a dynamic Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to promote least restrictive practice, develop positive risk management, and embed a trauma-informed culture. The role will support the delivery of quality of life outcomes at two specialist supported living services in Lancashire, one in Preston and another in Lytham St Annes. These services are designed to align with the principles of Capable Environments, supporting people with enhanced and complex needs to live fulfilled lives.

You will work with the people we support, collaborating with managers, external professionals, and families to promote meaningful and recovery-focused outcomes. You will advocate for Practice Leadership, guiding and coaching our teams in PBS, establishing a strong understanding of behavioural analysis and strategies. This collaborative approach aims to help the people we support gain independence and improve their quality of life.

Your responsibilities include developing functional behavioural analyses, creating and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and attending multi-disciplinary meetings to foster a culture of reflective practice. We seek a friendly, dynamic, and empathetic professional passionate about delivering exceptional support.

This role is ideal for someone eager to make a real difference, whether by supporting colleagues' growth or enabling individuals to meet their goals and live safe, fulfilling lives.

We are looking to add a PBS professional to our Lancashire team who possesses the right experience and values, with qualifications such as:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (e.g., Level 5 BTEC Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support), or
  • A Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (e.g., Positive Behaviour Support), or
  • A Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology or an equivalent qualification.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and composure, with experience working with individuals with forensic risk. They will collaborate with the operational management team to develop and embed a therapeutic support model within a PBS framework.

Why choose us?

We celebrate diversity and encourage you to Be You. If you have the passion to improve lives, we will provide the skills and development opportunities to help you build a rewarding career.

Our excellent training programme supports staff growth from induction through career progression, offering job security in a sector-leading organization.

Apply today and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support!
