Job summary

Healthcare Ireland Group in Ballymena is seeking a Positive Behaviour Care Assistant to join a new team at Holmes Court. You will provide compassionate direct care, support daily living activities, and work with the senior team on person-centred plans for residents with complex behavioural needs.

You’ll contribute to a safe, supportive environment, participate in development programmes, and help promote residents' wellbeing and life enrichment.

Qualifications

• Good listener with patience, compassion and empathy.
• High standard of written and spoken English.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Previous care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents with complex behavioural needs, including activities of daily living and emotional support.
• Establish rapport and build trusting relationships with residents with empathy and understanding.
• Assist senior and nursing teams with care plans and activities to support wellbeing.
• Support safety through participation in learning and development programmes.
• Encourage participation in activities to promote mental stimulation and socialisation.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
• Undertake other duties as may be required by the Home Manager.
