Job summary

BLUE SAPHIRE LIMITED is seeking a compassionate Care Worker for one-to-one support in Leighton Buzzard. You will provide practical assistance, companionship, and emotional support to a single service user in their own home, helping maintain independence and dignity.

Shifts cover 7 days a week, with morning and afternoon slots. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care, assisted living, or home care (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (business insurance required).
• Right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available for this position.
• To undergo a DBS check and provide references.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, observe, and record Service Users’ health and wellbeing, maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide personal care assistance with dignity and respect.
• Support daily living activities to promote independence.
• Engage Service Users in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.

Overview Of The Position

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Care Workers to join our team and provide consistent, person-centred support to one individual in their own home.

This role involves working closely with and supporting the same individual, building a trusting relationship while helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Shifts are available 7 days a week and cover the following hours:

• 07:00 – 14:00 hours
• 14:00 – 19:00 hours

As a one-to-one support Care Worker, you will provide practical assistance, companionship, and emotional support tailored to the individual’s needs. Your empathy, professionalism, and commitment will make a meaningful difference, ensuring the person feels safe, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the day, while also providing reassurance to their family.

Core Duties

• Monitor, observe, and accurately record Service Users’ health and wellbeing, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Provide personal care assistance with dignity and respect.
• Support daily living activities to promote independence.
• Engage Service Users in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
• Work effectively within a care environment in their own home.
• Administer or assist with medication, ointments, and prescribed remedies in line with Medication Administration Records. (MAR)
• Offer companionship and emotional support, building trusting relationships with Service Users.
• Assistance with shopping, appointments and leisurely outings.
