Responsibilities

We are expanding our technology centre in Nenagh and seeking a POS Payments Delivery Lead to drive the delivery of our next-generation Android-based card acceptance platforms, applications, and data analytics services. This senior leadership role will set the delivery vision and roadmap, ensuring high customer satisfaction and successful implementation of strategic priorities.

What you will do:

1. Develop and execute the delivery strategy for Android-based card acceptance application teams, focusing on the next generation of platforms, applications, and data services.
2. Build the necessary capabilities to deliver on product roadmaps and business objectives.
3. Collaborate with broader Fiserv teams, both technologically and business-wise, to ensure cohesive project implementation.
4. Actively coach and manage development staff, providing mentorship across the organisation.
5. Serve as a role model within the leadership team, fostering a positive and proactive culture.
6. Ensure the successful delivery of Android-based card acceptance applications across various devices and platforms.
7. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective delivery management.
8. Provide technical consultation and guidance to supporting infrastructure teams.

What you will need to have:

1. Hands-on experience in a large enterprise environment, ideally within fintech or payments industries.
2. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
3. Proven track record of leading high-performing, agile development teams focused on delivery excellence.
4. Strong understanding of POS application development and delivery.
5. Expert knowledge of business operations, policies, and practices.
6. Proficiency in Android Development, Java, Kotlin, system integration, terminal payment flows and industry standards (PCI, NEXO).
7. In-depth understanding of payment processes and multi-device delivery.
8. Technical security awareness as it pertains to application and infrastructure design.

What would be great to have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
2. Business or payments-related qualifications are advantageous.
