Then we would like to get to know you! As a Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency. You will work remotely, providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls. Your role involves interpreting conversations accurately and efficiently in various professional settings.

Please note this is a self-employed position.

Requirements

The Job

• Interpret between English and your native language over phone or video.
• Provide interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpret for legal, health, and local government services.
• Check the understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Perform conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Provide accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Code of Conduct.

About You

• Fluent in English and another language.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Be aged 21 or over.
• Possess formal qualifications such as:
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
• Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
• Be flexible to work around your schedule.
