Job Description:

London

Dependent on Experience

A fixed term contract opportunity requiring an immediate start, for a communicative and professional individual who can slot into a portfolio underwriting role in a market-leading London market casualty team. This key role will include portfolio oversight, setting of strategy and business planning focused on retention and continued growth of the business area, across both the Lloyd’s and company market platforms. Much of this role will centre around holding the division accountable to the plan and analysing market trends.

Leadership and communication qualities will be important, as you will be responsible for advising underwriters and assisting with broker development. In terms of other stakeholders in the business, this will be broad – actuarial, finance, wordings, marketing as this is a very central role.

Although this position sits within a casualty team, casualty experience isn’t necessarily a pre-requisite. Portfolio management skills are much more front and centre.
