Job summary

Sompo in London seeks a Portfolio Solutions Manager to drive profitable growth within the Distribution team. You will identify facility opportunities with strategic brokers and articulate Sompo's appetite to brokers while coordinating with underwriting and other teams to present a best-in-class proposition.

With 3+ years in the London Market (ACCI ideal), you will lead broker engagements, manage timelines, and oversee the lifecycle of facilities to secure renewals and new opportunities.

• 3+ years London Market experience.
• ACCI ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Distribution & Underwriting to identify facility opportunities.
• Articulate strategy and appetite to brokers to spot relevant opportunities.
• Glean broker timelines, expectations and likelihood of success.
• Coordinate with underwriting, claims, distribution, legal, and compliance to present a joined-up proposition.
• Engage brokers through opportunities and renewals to maintain high response standards.
• Lead presentation teams when proposing our proposition to brokers.
• Ensure smooth delivery of services through facility lifecycle and support renewals.
• Organise and attend regular pipeline reviews and engage Finance on invoicing.

Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Portfolio Solutions Manager in our Distribution team. Drive profitable growth through a structured strategy of how Sompo UK grow their broker panel facility book. Responsible for gaining line of sight on new opportunities, understanding and being able to articulate our underwriting appetite. Then working alongside Distribution and Underwriting to ensure our proposition is best in class

What you’ll be doing:

• Working with Distribution & Underwriting teams to identify facility opportunities within each of our strategic brokers
• Articulating our strategy and appetite to brokers to ensure we see relevant opportunities
• Gaining line of sight from the brokers on each of these opportunities to establish timelines, expectations and probability of success
• Collaborating with underwriting, claims, distribution, legal, compliance etc when RFP is in to ensure a joined up approach and that Sompo put their best foot forward
• Engage with brokers through the process of new opportunities and renewals to ensure Sompo are delivering a high standard of response
• Lead the presentation team when presenting our proposition to brokers
• Ensuring smooth delivery of our services throughout the life of the facility to ensure we have every opportunity to renew
• Organise and attend regular review and pipeline meetings as appropriate
• Engage with Finance around invoicing and quarterly payments

What You’ll Bring

• 3 years + London Market experience. ACCI ideal but not essential. A willingness to work as part of a team and engage with key internal and external stakeholders
