Job summary

Benchmark Capital in Horsham is seeking an Investment Risk & Performance Analyst to join the Investment Team. You will oversee, analyze, and report on investment risk and portfolio performance across our propositions, model portfolios, and managed portfolio services.

Working alongside the Investment Team while maintaining independent oversight, you’ll provide insight into portfolio construction, investment outcomes, and risk exposures.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment management, wealth management, asset management, or investment consulting.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment products.
• Knowledge of investment risk management principles and methodologies.
• Experience producing investment risk analysis, performance reporting, or investment analytics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to interpret portfolio, market, and performance data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio exposures across market, liquidity, concentration, currency, and counterparty risks.
• Conduct portfolio risk assessments, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Review portfolio positioning against investment objectives and risk tolerances.
• Identify emerging investment risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Support enhancement of risk methodologies and monitoring frameworks.
• Prepare risk reporting for Investment Governance Committees and senior stakeholders.
• Produce portfolio performance, contribution, and attribution analysis.
• Analyse portfolio returns against benchmarks, objectives, and peer groups.
• Investigate drivers of performance and risk-adjusted returns.
• Support investment committee papers and management information.
• Provide insights into portfolio construction and outcomes.
