To be successful as a Portfolio Planning Manager, you should have experience with:
- Creating and implementing standardized planning processes and methodologies aligned with controls and governance standards that support the delivery of successful projects.
- Monitoring project performance, including tracking progress, budgets, resource plans, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and reporting to senior management through maintained project documentation.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in data and project reporting, utilizing tools like spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and Navigator.
Additional valued skills include:
- Experience in Financial Services, ideally Banking.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivots, formulas, VLOOKUPS, macros.
- Experience with regulatory projects, especially financial crime transformation.

This role will be based in either the London or Glasgow office.
Purpose of the role
To support the portfolio in delivering successful change by ensuring processes and practices align with controls and governance standards and support strategic objectives.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate portfolio prioritization, ensuring compliance with control frameworks.
- Support effective portfolio governance, enabling data-driven decision-making and timely reporting.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and issues, and report to senior management.
- Manage the Book of Work, prioritization, and dependencies of change initiatives.
- Oversee change delivery, ensuring policy compliance, control data integrity, and risk management.
- Review and escalate portfolio risks and issues, supporting resolution efforts.
- Engage stakeholders with clear communication and effective portfolio processes.
- Promote an environment of effective delivery, leveraging data and expertise for accountability and transparency.
- Provide best practice guidance on controls and governance, including training.
