Purpose

The Portfolio Performance Analyst has a strong understanding of the customer lifecycle and retention process, with the ability to measure revenue and volume performance of the back book portfolio of customers, including identifying upsell opportunities. The role involves guiding strategies for retention and proactive customer contact.

The analyst will utilize raw data to identify trends, create MI and dashboards using Google’s tools, and craft commentary to identify gaps and opportunities to meet revenue and volume targets.

Accurate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports are essential, along with the adoption of our Portfolio Scorecard across all entities to ensure confident reporting.

The role also supports creating customer contact datasets, utilizing AI and predictive modeling to support retention initiatives and reporting MI to track their success.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely MI reports for Customer Success, Consumer Duty, and VOTC, including executive summaries.
  • Create a comprehensive view of attrition and retention across all portfolios, reporting on volume and revenue.
  • Develop a Consumer Duty scorecard aligned with customer outcomes.
  • Consolidate MI for presentation at UK Board meetings, covering retention and customer trends.
  • Monthly reporting of VoTC and complaints MI across UK&I entities.
  • Provide insightful commentary and dashboards to tell the story behind the data.
  • Ensure reports are detailed and suitable for external governance, regulatory, and sales purposes.
  • Extract data and produce user-friendly reports with relevant KPIs and commentary.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions.

Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably analyzing customer portfolios.
  • Knowledge of MI tools such as PowerBI and Google Data Studio.
  • Ability to create meaningful dashboards with valuable commentary.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to manipulate large data sets.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize, and automate reporting processes.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, goal-oriented, and highly numerate, proficient in Excel and Google products.

Qualifications

Graduate or actively studying towards a relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., business information systems, mathematics, finance, data science), or equivalent experience.
