Job Introduction

The BBC Product Management Function is seeking a Portfolio Partner to work closely with our Director, Product & Design, and their leadership team. This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic Product Leadership Team and gain exposure to the BBC's Product strategy.

Main Responsibilities

This role involves driving cross-functional initiatives related to transformational change, communication, events, culture, and coordination as the group scales. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Director of Product & Design and leading projects on their behalf to ensure timely execution of actions and changes.
  • Managing strategic outputs, including updates for executives and the board.
  • Overseeing product organisation reporting cadences such as WBR (Weekly Business Reporting), MBR, and QBR.
  • Project managing the annual product roadmap planning.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Product leadership team and various functions (HR, Finance, Product Ops, etc.).
  • Establishing clear internal and external communication and updates for the Product Group.
  • Leading cultural activities and building relationships within the Product Leadership and Transformation teams.
  • Liaising with Finance regarding group planning, budgets, and processes.
Are You The Right Candidate?

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working closely with or within the Product environment, with a strong understanding of the product lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality, strategic outputs to CEO and board-level audiences.
  • Experience in sophisticated stakeholder relationship management at various levels, including senior management.
  • Strong leadership skills within matrix relationships.
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organise, manage, and direct large teams across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in analysing and compiling large data sets to draw conclusive results.
  • Capability to motivate and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams effectively.

Band: F

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary Range: Up to £107,733, depending on skills and experience. The salary reflects internal benchmarking and market insights.
