Job Description:

We have a brand new role as a Portfolio Monitoring - Private Credit (Corporate & Alternative Debt) to support the ongoing management of Private Credit investments for LGIM managed funds and, where appropriate, provide assistance and advice in the due diligence and execution of new transactions.

Primary responsibilities will include managing and monitoring the ongoing performance of investments across the Private Credit business, with a primary focus on Corporate & Alternative Debt.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring that investment assets are appropriately monitored and managed in line with objectives and value is preserved or enhanced for LGIM clients.
  • Monitoring investments through analysis of financial performance and covenant compliance. This will include review and scrutiny of borrower financial statements, compliance certificates, budgets and financial models, as well as engagement with management. Engagement with borrowers on ESG issues and the collation of data on key ESG metrics.
  • Conducting regular client meetings which may include site visits with borrowers, particularly for greenfield / construction phase / major capex projects.
  • Ensuring any deterioration in asset performance is identified promptly and combined with proactive borrower engagement to discuss whether remedial action can be undertaken or is necessary.
  • Presenting regular updates on the portfolio including quarterly reviews, focus lists, and waiver & construction logs.
  • Coordinating interaction with the internal Rating team and/or the Portfolio Management team in respect of the existing portfolio and assisting in the production of any related deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Relevant experience of asset management within private debt.
  • Strong working knowledge of debt capital markets and products with a focus on corporate and alternative sectors.
  • Good technical skills across Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
  • Strong financial analysis skills required – with an understanding of credit risk, rating agency methodology, and the ability to analyse / sensitise financial models.
  • Organised, focused and self-motivated with good communication (written and oral) skills. The ability to manage and prioritise a large number of competing workstreams and stakeholders is essential.
  • A solid working knowledge of the relevant legal documentation types appropriate for the various sub-sectors is required.
  • Collaborative and a true team player.
