Key Responsibilities:

• Provide fundamental research insight and modelling.
• Produce deep due diligence research based on our well-established Impact investment framework.
• Participate actively in managing and supporting the Impact fund range.
• Work closely with the lead fund manager and team head John William Olsen regarding investment decisions and portfolio considerations on the Positive Impact fund.
• Be the lead manager of our Nature focused strategy.
• Help build an external network and Biodiversity engagement programme.
• Continue to evolve our nature-focused engagement across the team’s fund range in collaboration with the stewardship and sustainability team.
• Establish an external network with universities and other capabilities to strengthen our expertise in nature-related matters.
• Participate in fund marketing and other promotional activities.
• Help promote the team’s fund range.
• Write blogs and participate in industry panels.
• Mentor less experienced team members, represent the team philosophy, and implement our process diligently.
• Collaborate to spread best practices and help carry the distinct team culture.
• Contribute analytically to the broader M&G equities team.
• Educate and counsel colleagues regarding sustainability matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Fund management experience, with a passion for proper long-term investing.
• Successful background in both equity research and fund management with more than 10 years of industry experience.
• Relevant experience in sustainability or climate-oriented roles is a clear positive.
• Appropriate university level educational background.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation skills and experience.
