The Portfolio and Investment Manager will be responsible for the strategic management and optimisation of the Digital Transformation Portfolio, driving alignment with organisational objectives and maximising value delivery. This role will lead in project management methodologies, enterprise level governance and organisational leadership.
What you'll be doing
You'll develop and lead the implementation of the Digital Transformation Portfolio Strategy, aligning with both local and global business objectives and priorities, defining the strategic direction for Digital Transformation investments, and considering emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscapes. You'll collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to improve governance frameworks and decision-making processes for Digital Transformation portfolio management.
This role will involve investment analysis by conducting a comprehensive analysis of Digital Transformation investments, including cost-benefit and value analysis, ROI assessments, and risk evaluations. Identifying opportunities to optimise the portfolio, reallocating resources, and prioritising initiatives to maximise value delivery. We're looking for you to drive continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT investment processes and decision-making.
A key part of the role will be to provide strategic direction and leadership for the Project Management Office, establishing project governance frameworks, methodologies, and tools to ensure consistent and effective project delivery. This includes;
Conducting regular portfolio reviews to assess the health, identify risks and dependencies, and advise on the continuation of programs.
Providing direction on training, mentoring and coaching to raise the project management maturity level of the organisation
Other aspects of the role include resource management, financial management, leadership, team development, and stakeholder engagement and communication.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in a Senior Digital Transformation Portfolio or Programme Management role with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and portfolios in a large enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles, investment analysis techniques, and IT governance frameworks
Proven experience in PMO methodologies, tools and practises
Experience in risk, issue and dependency management
Proven experience in effective resource modelling and management enabling value delivery through prioritisation
Ability to manage a range of complex relationships both internally and externally, often against a backdrop of conflicting aims and priorities
