Job summary

SF Technology Partners is seeking a hands-on data specialist to improve how information is structured, connected and used across its portfolio businesses. You will tackle varied systems across four to five companies, delivering practical, trusted data solutions.

The role involves diagnosing problems, designing a practical data platform, and working closely with founders and senior teams to implement the plan. Some travel and on-site work will be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on improvements to data quality, structure and governance.
• Experience integrating information from multiple business systems.
• Ability to design/build data warehouses and analytical solutions.
• Experience delivering reporting or dashboards from data.
• Ability to explain technical decisions in business terms.
• Commercial confidence to work with founders and senior leadership.
• Comfort moving between different companies, systems and environments.
• Private equity experience is useful but not essential; experience with due diligence or investments is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current data landscape and identify underlying problems.
• Clean, structure and model data so it can be trusted.
• Connect information across CRM, operational and finance systems.
• Resolve inconsistent records, naming conventions and duplicates.
• Design and build data warehouses or similar data platforms.
• Create the analytical and reporting capability on top of the data.
• Help businesses establish a single source of truth.
• Advise on technology and approach for each organisation.
• Translate commercial questions into datasets, reporting and insight.
• Work with management teams to implement practical solutions.
