Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Greater Manchester-based practice. You will manage a portfolio of SME clients, delivering accurate bookkeeping, VAT submissions, and cash flow support.

You will work on cloud systems like Xero and Sage, building strong client relationships while contributing to a collaborative team. Hybrid working and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience with SME clients.
• AAT qualification or qualified by experience.
• Experience using Xero and Sage accounting software.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of SME clients.
• Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Supporting clients with cash flow management and financial administration.
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines and statutory requirements.
• Using cloud-based accounting systems including Xero and Sage.
