DJH in Hereford is seeking a capable Bookkeeper to manage client accounts using cloud-based systems. You'll join a growing team, supporting day-to-day financial tasks and driving efficient processes across multiple clients.

You will bring at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, be confident with VAT and payroll compliance, and use tools like Dext to streamline workflows. Strong attention to detail and communication with clients and colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience in practice or industry.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software and digital tools (Dext experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, VAT, and payroll compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage client bookkeeping and accounts using cloud-based tools.
• Match purchase orders with invoices and reconciling accounts.
• Coordinate online bank feeds and processing payments.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Record financial transactions accurately and maintaining up-to-date records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting queries.
