Job description

We have partnered with a highly sought-after company in the Lloyd's market to find a Portfolio Analytics Manager. This presents an excellent opportunity to work closely with an impressive senior management team, including the CUO who is an Actuary, and top underwriters across Re/Insurance.

The role is strategic, focusing on driving a profitable book through portfolio analytics techniques. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working for a company that values actuarial input and frequently hires actuaries directly into underwriting roles. The culture emphasizes data-driven decision making at all levels.
  2. Reporting to and collaborating daily with the Chief Analytics Officer and other talented board members.
  3. Leading a small team of skilled Portfolio Managers and Management Analysts.
  4. Collaborating with Underwriters, Actuaries, Data Scientists, Claims, and Data/Tech teams to enhance underwriting performance.
  5. Developing the portfolio analytics strategy and roadmap.
  6. Designing, delivering, and implementing pricing and analytics visualization dashboards and tools to support underwriting.
  7. Monitoring portfolios, assisting in risk selection, improving pricing, and supporting business planning.
