Job description

We have partnered with a highly sought-after company in the Lloyd's market to find a Portfolio Analytics Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an impressive senior management team, including the CUO who is an actuary, and top underwriters across Re/Insurance.

The position is highly strategic, focusing on driving the profitability of an established book through portfolio analytics techniques. Responsibilities include:

  1. Working for a company that values actuarial input, with actuaries hired directly into underwriting roles and a culture that emphasizes data-driven decision making.
  2. Reporting to and collaborating daily with the Chief Analytics Officer and a talented board of directors.
  3. Leading a small team of skilled Portfolio Managers and Management Analysts.
  4. Collaborating with Underwriters, Actuaries, Data Scientists, Claims, and Data/Tech teams to enhance underwriting performance.
  5. Developing the portfolio analytics strategy and roadmap.
  6. Designing, delivering, and implementing pricing and analytics dashboards and tools to support underwriting.

Additional duties include monitoring portfolios, assisting in risk selection, improving pricing strategies, and supporting business planning.
